This is my Bible. I could read this book again and again. What’s fascinating is the overall landscape David Deida paints of a man‘s life, his challenges with women, work and sexual desire. He looks at all of it through a raw, often funny, and deeply spiritual perspective. A big theme of all of Deida’s work is what he calls “polarity;” it’s the juiciness that comes from the interplay of masculine and feminine energy – probably what most people think of as “animal attraction.” Without polarity, sexual energy and intimacy shrivel and die. This is a book every man AND woman should read. While reading it, I had the feeling of being a fly on the wall inside a man‘s raw and truthful mind; I came to understand My Man, my reactions to him, and the interplay of our energies in a much larger and more profound way. Another surprising experience was that I cried a lot while reading it because David Deida understands so deeply what a woman needs and wants from Her Man that it was a great relief to know that someone out there is giving men the information they need… finally.

With chapters called “Live as if Your Father were Dead,” “Stop Hoping for your Woman to Get Easier,” “You Will Often Want More than One Woman,” “What She Wants is Not What She Says,” “Own Your Darkest Desires” and “Turn Your Lust into Gifts”…this book addresses every man‘s challenges with his own sense of purpose, owning and sharing his masculinity. This tackles man dealing with the confusing “mixed messages” women give, handling a woman’s emotional intensity, and transforming the traditional masculine lust into a larger universal love that pervades everything. This book is called “the ultimate spiritual guide for men” for a reason. Go buy it now!

I’ll leave you with this:

“The feminine part of your woman is either opening in loving surrender (easy moments) or closing in what ends up being an emotional test of your capacity to open her (difficult moments). This cycle of the feminine is like all cycles in nature: it never ends… instead of tolerating your woman’s moods of closure and complaint, open her moods with your skillful loving. It is your gift to give… A Superior Man sees his woman’s moods not as a curse, but as a challenge and an amusement.”

A great You Tube video of David Deida conducting a powerful and funny seminar on the topic.
