Eight years ago we got married in Tulum and we returned for the first time recently.  WOW!  What a change!  For better or worse the main drag, which used to be a barren strip of jungle, is now populated with little chic boutiques, hipsters, and farm to table restaurants that require a 3 hour wait to probably not get a table.  But at least dealing with the off-season Coachella scene was counterbalanced by this discovery:  the most incredible little tent shack boutique called Caravana.  Stocked with original designs in a dreamy rainbow of colors, this place has a touch of native tribal vibe, Burning Man aesthetic, luxury Italian touches, and unmistakeable Latin flair.  My girlfriend and I spent a good chunk of time there, snatching up caftans, fringed top blouses, matching skirts, and whipstitched leather belts.  This concept shop is actually a traveling circus that pops up in hot spots around the globe to satisfy the needs of its nomadic jet set clients.  Next time I’m in Mykonos or Ibiza, Caravana will be on my list of must-sees — perfect for unique gifts for yourself and your fashionable friends.  xxx, Leah
