The key to this deliciousness is the bread. You’ve got to use the really fluffy, totally gluten-filled French Brioche bread. Get a loaf. Slice, dip, and fry that baby. I mean…French toast is a universally loved breakfast indulgence that’s super easy, especially if you had one too many glasses of vino the night before and the kids are barking hungry. In that case, make sure to cook up a Ganja Latte for yourself too…..
Serves 4, takes 10 minutes to make.
- 6 free range eggs
- 1/4 cup grassfed milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla paste
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 8 pieces of brioche french bread, sliced at least 1 inch thick (it soaks up the egg and becomes mushy if too thin)
Whip wet ingredients with a fork until combined and fluffy.
Heat a large skillet or flat cast iron pan on medium heat, coat with coconut oil.
Pour egg mixture into a pyrex dish good size for soaking bread slices.
Dip slices on each side but not too long or bread will become soggy. Just coat it well.
Place onto hot oiled grill/pan and brown on both sides.
Serve hot with Buttermilk Creme Fraiche on top, maple syrup, and sliced fruit if that’s your jam.
